Growing Fruits

Posted on

It has literally never been easier to begin growing your own fruits at home.

Of course it is common knowledge that all fruits are good for you as part of a healthy balanced diet, but recent research has shown that certain fruits, commonly referred to as “Superfruits”, have particularly high levels of anti-oxidants and have additional benefits.

With this in mind many easy to grow fruit plants are now being produced that are sold off the shelf and ready to plant straight away.

You do need to take into account that different fruits will prefer different conditions and will not thrive unless looked after properly. For example blueberries prefer a very acidic soil but strawberries demand a very nutrient rich soil.

Please take a moment to look at our guides to fruits below, they will help you get started with your selected fruits.
